Gulf Shores Attractions For Your Bucketlist
Attend A Church Service At The Flora-Bama Beach Bar
Straddling the Alabama and Florida state line the Flora-Bama Beach Bar is one of the most notable beach bars in the country. With live music every night of the week, entertaining events, and top-notch food this needs to be added to your bucket list ASAP.
Every Sunday at 9:00 am and 11:00 am they offer a church service to the public that is said to be phenomenal. I am also intrigued by their annual Mullet Toss and Gulf Beach Party. That is bound to be an experience for the books!
Lemur Encounter at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo
Did you know that you can pet sloths, kangaroos, lemurs, and more at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo? While this little zoo may be tiny, their animal encounters are truly unique experiences.
During our visit, we had the opportunity to spend time with the kangaroos and the sloths. However, a lot of excitement seemed to be coming from the lemur encounter! Squeals and laughter could be heard echoing through the nearby exhibits as onlookers observed these curious and frisky creatures. Be sure to add the lemur encounter to your zoo visit!
The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo has gotten a new home so be sure to visit them in their new location.

The multitude of Dolphin Cruises that are available during operating times is phenomenal. There is a dolphin cruise for everyone. Want a romantic sunset dolphin cruise? Need a family-friendly cruise that is aimed at children? Want a private dolphin cruise? They have all of it.

Watch The Blue Angels Practice from Fort Pickens
This is a great day trip for those looking for something really unique and special. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will often time practice and put on shows that can be viewed from Fort Pickens or at the National Naval Aviation Museum.
You will have to drive into Pensacola for this, but it is worth it. An expert told me to pack a cooler and sit on the seawall at Fort Pickens to enjoy the show in more comfort and for a fraction of the cost!

I lived in Alabama for over a year and never did make it to the Gulf Shores. I was so bummed when we moved. It’s still on my bucket list so hopefully one of these days I’ll finally make it down to see it for myself.
