The hotel is still owned by DOW and is operated by Dolce Hotel, a Wyndham Hotels and Resorts branch. In 2015 the hotel received an expensive facelift, making it the luxury hotel that it is today.

A Relaxing Experience

Stepping into your guest room is a luxury all on its own. Marble bathrooms, state-of-the-art technology, down beddings are just a few of the comforts that await. Imagine my daughter’s amazement when the mirror was the TV! Complete with her favorite channels like PBS and Disney.

The H Hotel spoiled us rotten by having tons of goodies waiting for us in our room. From cookies and milk to personal goodie bags, the thought put into each bag was not overlooked. My daughter asks weekly when we are going back to the fancy hotel in Michigan.

Business travelers have a workspace complete with charging stations. Other room amenities include complimentary WiFi, Keurig coffee maker, in-room mini-fridge, room service, along with an evening turndown service.

H Hotel offers various room options, from Deluxe 2 Double Beds, Deluxe Queen, or a Suite Option.

Splurge on Room Service

After settling into your cozy room, changing into one of the plush robes, the thought of venturing out for a meal may not be appealing. Browse the room-service menu to order cocktails, appetizers, meals, or even cookies and milk. The menu is from Cafe Zinc, which offers phenomenal food. I will talk more about that later on.

While traveling with my daughter, ordering cookies and milk at the end of the day has quickly become one of our new favorite traditions. It is fun, affordable, and delicious!

Recreational Activities On-Site

Whether it is taking a swim in their indoor heated pool, enjoying the state-of-the-art fitness center, or hopping on a loaner bike to see the city, the H Hotel has a variety of ways to stay active.

The indoor pool was a family favorite as we often look for indoor pools while traveling with kids. The pool is heated; however, the whirlpool right next to the pool if it isn’t warm enough. Guests can make reservations to use the pool/whirlpool by contacting the front desk. There are changing rooms/ restrooms right before you enter the pool area.

The fully-equipped fitness center at the H Hotel offers guests an opportunity to stay fit or venture for a jog around the nearby scenic park, the Tridge.

The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service within a five-mile radius of the airport, local shops, and stores.

What Restaurants Are In The H Hotel In Midland, Michigan?

Zinc Cafe

The H Hotel is home to two amazing restaurants, Zinc Cafe and One Eighteen. According to the company, the name demonstrates to guests that mixing good food and good company makes excellent chemistry. Browsing the take counter resembles that of a European cafe. Freshly baked bread, pastries, and beautifully decorated desserts fill the display cases as the aroma of coffee fill the air.

We had the pleasure of not dining here once but twice. Our first visit was for dinner one evening. The server was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us navigate the menu. Side Note: They have a great kids’ menu with plenty of healthy options.

For our main course, we settled on the Seafood Cioppino along with the Pan Roasted Scallops. Everything was scrumptious. After enjoying our meal so much, we opted to have brunch at Cafe Zinc the following morning. Brunch is always a good choice, but it is a great choice when it is at Cafe Zinc!

Starting with Mimosas, we sipped our way through a tasty Smoked Fish Plate, Eggs Benedict, fluffy pancakes and finished off with Iffy coffee. Zinc is a top brunch spot in Midland, Michigan, so be sure to make reservations.

ONe Eighteen

A modern take on the classic American Tavern, ONe Eighteen offers a traditional tavern favorite with an upscale spin. Sample their unique take on deviled eggs, sink your teeth into a prime burger or enjoy a heartier entree with a strip steak or meatloaf.

ONe Eighteen prides itself on its wine menu and craft cocktails, with a variety of wines to meet all tastes and budgets. Check out the full menu of One Eighteen!
