Winter is here, and what better way to make the most of the chilly season than going snow tubing? If you’re seeking an exhilarating winter adventure perfect for all ages, look no further than Perfect North Slopes. Nestled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, this winter wonderland destination offers breathtaking slopes and an unforgettable snowtubing experience.
Perfect North Slopes is one of the few ski resorts near Cincinnati, and it attracts thrill-seekers and snow enthusiasts from all over the Midwest. While skiing and snowboarding may dominate the slopes, snow tubing is a delightful and rewarding alternative for those looking for a different kind of winter fun. It’s an activity that requires no prior experience or special skills, making it an ideal choice for families and friends wanting to try something new together.
The laughs and memorable moments are guaranteed if you slide down the slopes solo or linked to friends. This post breaks down everything you need to know about going Snowtubing at Perfect North Slopes.
Perfect North Slopes is conveniently located off the 275 exits in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. There are signs off the exit that will help you navigate to the slopes roughly 5 minutes from the exit.
Once you arrive at Perfect North, you will want to follow the sign for tubing. There is a special lane for tubing to help guests quickly get to the snow tubing area. The other lanes are for skiing and snowboarding, which will take you to the ski lodge.
Parking is free, with a designated parking area for snow tubing. The snow tubing area is to the right; you will be able to see the snow tubing lanes from the parking lot.

When it comes to snow tubing, it is essential to dress appropriately to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Nothing is worse than getting to the slopes only to discover you forgot your coat or didn’t have waterproof pants! Firstly, it is essential to layer up. Start with a base layer of moisture-wicking fabric that keeps you dry and warm.
Next, add a mid-layer of insulation, such as a fleece or down jacket, to trap heat. Don’t forget to wear waterproof and windproof pants and a jacket to protect yourself from wet snow or chilly winds. Wear thick, woolen socks and waterproof boots to keep your feet warm and dry.
Tip: I highly recommend grabbing a few Hot Hands hand warmers to bring with you!
Don’t forget to wear a hat, gloves, and a scarf to protect your extremities from the cold. Finally, bring goggles or sunglasses to shield your eyes from the sun’s glare and flying snow.

Don’t have snow pants? Maybe you forgot your snow boots at home. The good news is that Perfect North offers snow gear rental. Rent snow bibs, boots, and a helmet, or shop for gloves, hats, and scarves!
You are allowed to take your phone or go-pro on your tube ride! Just make sure you hold on to it tight!
Perfect North will allow children 3 years old and up to snow tube with parental supervision. With that being said, you know your child the best and if they will be frightened of going down the big slopes. There is a children’s tubing area for kids 3-6 years old, which is only open when there is enough snow.
Remember that children will have to be able to follow directions, such as sitting in a tube, and be okay with the cold wind in their faces as they slide down the hill. During my recent visit, I saw plenty of 3 and 4-year-olds having the time of their lives sledding with families. If you think your little one will like it, go for it!
After parking in the designated Snow Tubing parking lot, you will want to start putting on your snow gear. Changing rooms are only available at the ski lodge, not near the tubing area. You will see many families popping their trunks and starting the daunting task of getting all the kids in their snow gear.
Lockers are available for a daily rental, or you can keep things locked in your car. However, ensure your keys are secured in a zipped compartment on your coat or jacket.
Once everyone is ready, proceed to the entrance, where you will find kiosks outside.
As mentioned earlier, Perfect North has transitioned to an RFID Card where snow tubing and skiing tickets can be uploaded. Guests can use previous RFID cards to upload their tickets or purchase them at the nearby kiosk, online or in-person.
Those purchasing cards for the first time will scan the QR code sent to them via email at the kiosk. The kiosk will then distribute the RFID cards already loaded with your ticket.
You will want to secure your RFID card in a zipper pocket somewhere between your shoulders and waist. It will allow you to access the slopes without pulling out your card each time you wish to go back up.
After getting your tube, all guests will go to the gates. Once there, you will scan your RFID Card, or it will automatically scan if, in a pocket; the screen will turn green, and then the arms will open, allowing you to pass. When your time is up, the screen will turn red, and the arms will not open.
Note: You can drag your tubes as they easily fit under the gate.
After securing your RFID Card, make your way to the snowtubes. Select your tube and then head in the direction of the lift! After passing through the gate, you will find the lift. There is a blue and red lane, each offering a different type of lane.
Drag your tube on the lane and follow instructions to the tubing lanes. Once there, a staff member will direct you. You can slide down the slopes solo or link your tube with others in your group. Linking is as easy as grabbing a handle, and away your group goes.
Note: When linking tubes, it goes from heaviest to lightest, with the heaviest in the front.
Staff will greet you at the bottom and provide directions on how to exit the slope area. Then grab your tube and repeat!
Perfect North Slopes goes the extra mile to ensure an exceptional snow tubing experience. With multiple lanes available, you can slide down repeatedly, trying out new techniques and enjoying every moment.
Perfect North Lodge offers a variety of food options for visitors to enjoy during their visit. While the Chow Corral at the Ski Lodge provides a wider selection, the Sip N Snack Shack at the snow tubing area is also a fantastic choice for a quick bite.
At the Chow Corral, guests can indulge in delicious meals ranging from classic burgers, hot dogs, and fries to healthier options like grilled chicken sandwiches and salads.
On the other hand, the Sip N Snack Shack at the snow tubing area specializes in providing quick bites and refreshing beverages. It’s the perfect spot to grab a quick snack, such as nachos or pretzels, or warm up with a cup of hot cocoa after an exhilarating snow tubing session.
Budget Tip: Pack a lunch to enjoy around one of the bonfires or in the warmth of your car!
If you’re ready to add thrill and excitement to your winter, snow tubing at Perfect North Slopes is a must-try. It’s the perfect activity for everyone, regardless of age or skill level. So gather your loved ones, bundle up, and head to Perfect North Slopes for an unforgettable winter adventure. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to create memories that will warm your heart long after the snow has melted away.
